In 2002, Kevin Kandalaft's daughter, Tess, was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a childhood cancer occurring from immature retinal cells in one or both eyes. Kevin and his wife, Kathy knew their lives would be changed forever. Now, they want to continue the mission they started with Cycle for Sight to make a difference for other families suffering from retinoblastoma and other eye diseases.
Their dream: Cycle for Sight.
The realization of that dream has now entered its 6th year. And more importantly, thanks to the support of our riders and corporate partners, more than $100,000 in donations has been raised for the Institute for Families.
From June 19-22, 2008, participants will ride their bicycles throughout northern New Mexico to raise money for the Institute for Families of Blind Children, a nonprofit organization that offers counseling and support to families facing the devastating diagnosis of blindness in their child.
