In 2002, Kevin Kandalaft's daughter, Tess, was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a childhood cancer occurring from immature retinal cells in one or both eyes. Kevin knew his life would be changed forever. Now, he wants to continue the mission he started with Cycle for Sight to make a difference for other families suffering from retinoblastoma and other eye diseases.

His dream: Cycle for Sight.

The realization of that dream has now entered its 7th year. And more importantly, thanks to the support of our riders and corporate partners, more than $100,000 in donations has been raised for the Institute for Families.

From June 18-21, 2009, participants will ride their bicycles throughout northern New Mexico to raise money for the Institute for Families, a nonprofit organization that offers counseling and support to families when there has been a diagnosis of cancer or other diseases that may impact vision.
